I have learned:

1. Keep everything clean or my desk will become a piece of art, too.
2. Let everyone know what I do.
3. Have no shame in being an artist.
4. Even if it looks ‘stupid’ it’s my style of art.
5. Sometimes I need to color with things other than pencils and crayon.
6. I can even use my fingers to shade in a page.
7. Mom will love it, even when she can’t tell what it is.
8. Your friends would like it if you made pictures for them, too.
9. Art can be anything from writing to drawing, and sewing to photos.
10. Everyone has his or her own preference. Someone said Da Vinci had bad ideas, too.
11. No one's opinion matters except for yours.
12. Make sure the piece belongs to YOU before showing everyone.
13. All you did on that doll maker was put its clothes on.
14. You may hate it, but that means no one else has seen it, yet.
15. Don’t scrap an idea right away before wasting a sheet of paper first.
16. Keep in mind that a pencil has an eraser.
17. Paper has two sides on it.
18. I can cut paper into more than one part.
19. Music, movies and books can inspire my art.
20. You can draw other people’s characters, too.
21. When you get a compliment on your work, be sure to thank them.
22. After you thank them, remember how good you felt by the words.
23. Return the favor: let them know they’re a clever artist, too!
24. If you don’t like something, just leave and find something else.
25. There’s no rule that says what you make has to make sense.
26. Be funny! Be creative!
27. Think how you’ve never thought before.
28. No one has to know you messed up.
29. Ignore harsh words and praise the good ones.
30. Hug your friend when he or she gives you a painting that looks like it fought with the shredder.
31. Don’t be afraid to smile when you’re having your picture taken.
32. Tell your teacher when you finally understand ‘that comma thing.’
33. Find your weak points and improve them.
34. Don’t wait for someone to tell you to get going.
35. Help other artists who need it.
36. Be honest about the piece, but be nice, too.
37. Don’t push yourself too hard.
38. Don’t hold back.
39. If you want to learn something, go for it!
40. Pay attention when you’ve just doodled all over your math test.
41. Feel proud when you’ve done something well.
42. Don’t get a big head, but don’t hide it, either.
43. It’s okay to tell people about your dA account.
44. Encourage music, acting, and dancing, too.
45. Art is anywhere and everywhere.
46. You’ll never run out of topics for your next piece.
47. Put your emotions into your work.
48. Explain how you’re feeling with a poem.
49. Let your friends and family send your art to everyone they know.
50. Thank them for liking your stuff.
51. Keep your mind focused, but loose.
52. Let the inspiration come.
53. Hang some things around your room or on your desktop.
54. Don’t be afraid to get dirty.
55. You can go from nothing to something.
56. Inspire people with your words and actions.
57. Don’t let nice things get to your head.
58. Be ready for anything.
59. Practice your skills outside for the fresh air.
60. Stay healthy, your conscience needs to stay fit, too.
61. Blocks happen! Don’t get stumped by a bump in the road.
62. Remember your successes and failures.
63. Improve your work, even if you think you can’t.
64. ‘I can’t do it,’ isn’t in an artist’s dictionary.
65. Finish the job, even if it takes years.
66. If you stink, but love doing it, keep going!
67. Just because you can’t find your pencil doesn’t mean your pens are out of ink.
68. There’s always another way to do things.
69. Sometimes, you come up with ideas when you’re in the shower.
70. Don’t beat yourself up for being worse than the other guys.
71. So what if they can put their leg over their head? You can write a kick-butt poem.
72. If the mood is set right, people may cry.
73. Don’t always have happy art. Life isn’t as simple as that.
74. Remember that some things can come before your hobbies.
75. Love what you do, no matter what!
76. If you hate it, show it off!
77. It’s okay to cry at other people’s work. It just means you like it.
78. When you cried at a funeral, write/draw/dance/whatever about it for those who passed away.
79. Make it mean something to you.
80. “A gift from the heart is a gift of art.”
81. It’s okay if the sky is purple sometimes.
82. What people don’t know won’t hurt them.
83. Keep that scribble of a picture you drew when you were three.
84. Know how to use both hands, just in case.
85. It’s okay to take a break every once in a while.
86. Get plenty of rest.
87. Take note of your dreams, they might be telling you something.
88. Everyone’s a critic, including you.
89. You can like more than one thing.
90. When you’re upset, turn on some up-beat music and sing it out!
91. If you love what you do, make a living out of it!
92. Put yourself into your work sometime.
93. Give each piece a name and personality.
94. Remember your audience.
95. Humor is good!
96. Don’t be too advanced to the point where no one understands what you’re saying.
97. Close your eyes and imagine it.
98. Don’t hesitate to start.
99. Remember to finish.
100. Anyone can be an artist!
Yay! I got this idea and started writing... I didn't stop until I reached 100. :D
Just a few things I think everyone should know, even if they don't want to be an artist. I'm pretty proud of this (and tired -.-) Let me know what you think!
